Dear Members,
We are disappointed to report that, despite prior communication and warnings that were sent to the entire membership last week, some individuals continue to abuse the BVTC court booking system. This behaviour undermines the fairness and integrity of our club and negatively impacts the experience of all members.
As a result, effective immediately, the following protocols will be enforced:
-
Mandatory Check-In with ID:
All players must check in with the court attendant and present valid photo ID that matches the name listed on the court booking.
-
If a player cannot provide matching identification, they will be asked to leave the court.
-
This applies to all players, without exception.
-
When an attendant is not on duty, any member of the Executive Team present at the club is authorized to request ID and verify court bookings.
-
-
Ongoing Enforcement:
We have already issued multiple warnings and suspensions to members found abusing the booking system.
-
Further violations will result in either suspensions or the immediate revocation of membership, based on the discretion of the Executive Team.
-
-
Email Notifications & Reporting:
Every time a court is booked under your name, you receive an automated email confirmation. If you receive a notification for a booking you didn’t make, please forward it immediately to president@bvtc.ca.
-
Help Maintain a Fair System:
The correct and responsible course of action when you become aware of such abuses is to report them to Club management—rather than doing the same for personal benefit. Doing the right thing helps protect the integrity of our club for everyone.
BVTC operates on mutual respect, accountability, and fair play. We thank you for doing your part to uphold the standards that make our club a great place to play.
Sincerely,
The BVTC Executive Team
