At Bayview Village Tennis Club we take Tennis very seriously. No matter your level or age, BVTC offers all you need to excel in a fun-filled yet competitive tennis environment.

Championship Rules - 2019


  • The BVTC tournament is restricted to adults (19 and over)
  • Members may compete in more than one category. Singles, doubles or mixed
  • Please sign up via email to yenntenn@gmail.com. Please make sure you state the category you are interested on entering
  • Members are responsible for scheduling their own matches
  • Participants have to book the courts as per usual, there is not extra time allowed for Tournament matches
  • Pro-sets up to 8 games (with a margin of 2 games) for all matches except finals
  • Best out of 3 sets for the final matches
  • Draws will be posted online so players and members can follow tournament progress
  • Each side (singles or doubles) should bring a new can of balls to each match.
    The winning side takes the new, unopened balls, which are then used for the next round of play. For the final round, the Club provides new balls
  • After your match please report your score via email to yenntenn@gmail.com
  • There is a specific time frame to schedule each round of matches. (Starting the week of July 22) This ensures that each tournament category will finish by the Finals Weekend (September 8th). If you are unable to complete your match on time, you must forfeit.
    Please play your matches by the scheduled deadline! Make sure that you are available and willing
  • For the Finals: The draws and match start times will be posted on the website. It is the responsibility of players (and their doubles partners) to be on time for their matches
  • Dates:
    • July 15 - Registration Deadline
    • July 19 - Draws Posted
    • TBD - First Round Deadline
    • TBD - Second Round Deadline
    • TBD - Third Round Deadline
    • September 8 - Finals

    Please Note: There will be no substitutions of players once a tournament has started.

    Men Singles


    Two players competing against each other. This type of match does not utilize the area in the alley (tramlines, in British terminology).


    This draw will be created upon the availability of competitors' names for this year... Stay tuned!

    Men Doubles


    Two teams of two all-male players each. It utilizes the area in the tramlines. The two players on the receiving side change positions after each point is played; one at the net and the other near the baseline preparing to return serve.


    Women Singles


    Two teams of two all-female players each. It utilizes the area in the tramlines. The two players on the receiving side change positions after each point is played; one at the net and the other near the baseline preparing to return serve.


    Mixed Doubles


    Played the same as doubles, but with one man and one woman per team.

    Ladder League


    Those who signed up to compete in the Ladder at Bayview Village Tennis Club during their membership registration, no matter their level or age, are able to play Co-Ed Singles.

    House League


    Those who signed up to compete in the House League at Bayview Village Tennis Club during their membership registration, from low-intermediate to advanced levels no matter their age, are able to play Doubles every Monday from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
