At Bayview Village Tennis Club we take Tennis very seriously. No matter your level or age, BVTC offers all you need to excel in a fun-filled yet competitive tennis environment.

Playing in the BVTC Tennis Tournament is a great way to not only play tennis in a fun and competitive environment but also an excellent way to meet new people.

  • The BVTC tournament is restricted to adults
  • Members may compete in more than one category. Singles, doubles, or mixed
  • The signup sheets for all tournaments will be available on the website and communicated via the BVTC newsletter. In addition, you may sign up via email to sidgojer@gmail.com. Please make sure you state the category you are interested in entering
  • All matches will be scheduled in advance, held over two weekends. Date/Time TBD. Please ensure you are available for the entire duration of the tournament before signing up
  • All preliminary rounds will be played over 1 hour of court time. Winner is decided by the best record after the hour is up, or first to 8 wins
  • Best out of 3 sets for semi-final, and final matches will determine the winner
  • Draws will be posted online so players and members can follow tournament progress
  • Each side (singles or doubles) will bring a new can of balls to each match (Pro Penn or Wilson). The winning side takes the new, unopened balls. For semi and final rounds, the Club provides new balls
  • After your match, please report your score on the draw sheet and via email to sidgojer@gmail.com
  • If you are unable to attend your match on time, you must forfeit

Please Note: There will be no substitutions of players once a tournament has started.

Men Singles



Two male players. It does not utilize the area in the tramlines. The player on the receiving side change position after each point is played near the baseline preparing to return serve.

Men Doubles



Two teams of two all-male players each. It utilizes the area in the tramlines. The two players on the receiving side change positions after each point is played; one at the net and the other near the baseline preparing to return serve.

Women Singles


Two teams of female players. It does not utilize the area in the tramlines. The player on the receiving side change positions after each point is played, near the baseline preparing to return serve.


Women Doubles



Two teams of two all-female players each. It utilizes the area in the tramlines. The two players on the receiving side change positions after each point is played; one at the net and the other near the baseline preparing to return serve.

Mixed Doubles


Played the same as doubles, but with one man and one woman per team.

Ladder League


Those who signed up to compete in the Ladder at Bayview Village Tennis Club during their membership registration, depending on their skill rating (3.5 for Ladder B, 4 and up for Ladder A), are able to play Co-Ed Singles.

House League



Those who signed up to compete in the House League at Bayview Village Tennis Club during their membership registration, from low-intermediate to advanced levels no matter their age, are able to play Doubles every Monday from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
