Dear BVTC Members,
We wanted to provide an update regarding the clubhouse.
Earlier this week, the City’s pest control contractor attended the club and removed several baby raccoons from the clubhouse. However, the mother raccoon was not successfully removed, and at this time, we do not know how many raccoons may still be living within the structure.
The contractor returned yesterday in an attempt to seal potential entry points and remove the remaining raccoon(s), but unfortunately they did not arrive with the proper equipment required to complete the work. They were scheduled to return again today, however we have not received a response or confirmation from them.
As a result, and out of caution for the safety of our members, staff, instructors, and guests, the clubhouse will remain CLOSED until further notice, by order of the City of Toronto.
In the meantime, please plan accordingly:
- Please bring your own water and any personal items you may require while at the club.
- Washroom facilities are available at the mall during operating hours.
We understand this is inconvenient and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we work with the City to fully resolve the situation properly and safely.
We will continue to provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
