News Update

Hello Everyone

How was your weekend?  Awesome weather, stay with us! And just as I type this … thunder!

Monday-Wednesday-Friday morning Adult Round Robins:  This self-run event has become quite popular. BVTC would like to thank Jack Prince, a valued member of our Club who is instrumental in making this event a success.  Join him & other BVTC members on Courts 1, 2 & 3 for some Tennis doubles starting at 9am!

May 24, 7pm: Adult Round Robin + Wilson Expo at BVTC:  Unwind after your work week w some evening doubles & see what Wilson has to offer to enhance your Tennis experience. Demo as many rackets as you wish!

Saturday, May 25:  OTA Members Day at the Merchant of Tennis:  Be sure to visit the Merchant of Tennis showing your OTA Member card or your BVTC 2013 membership tag.  Ask our attendant for your OTA member card & activate it online. 

BVTC Club Attendants are a vital part of our Club.  They enforce the Rules & Regulations at BVTC.  In the absence of any Executive member, they are in charge.  Please address them with respect; nothing else will be tolerated.

Club OTA Card & OTA Members day: May 25


Get your OTA Member card from our Club Attendant.  Show your 2013 BVTC tag to the attendant & you will receive an OTA Member card, giving you access to multiple discounts.  Activate the card online once you get it

OTA Members’ Day is set for May 25 at Merchant of Tennis locations at 1621 Bayview Ave. in Toronto & Olde Oakville Market Place, 361 Cornwall Road in Oakville. Members who go to either of these locations during store hours will receive a complimentary gift bag (made up of sponsor product, Rogers Cup tickets & more) & access to significant, exclusive in-store discounts.  Bring your  Club OTA card or 2013 BVTC tag to identify yourself as an OTA Member.

BVTC & Rain: Round Robin tonight & Wilson, cancelled … Clinic tomorrow ON

Hi Members … and soon to be Members!

Tonight:  It does not look good for our first Round Robin tonight.

The Wilson demo has been postponed to Friday May 24th.

Saturday, May 11:  The Adult free clinic for Members is ON for now.  Please call the club by 5pm before going to get status.

BVTC Announcements

Hello Members … & soon to be Members again!

We just had our first weekend of amazing weather!   Did you get out there for a hit?

Here are a few announcements …

Ladder, Cycle 1 starts this Saturday, May 11:  If you registered for the ladder, I will email you later this week with contact info of your ladder mates.  If you are new to the ladder, please read the guidelines here.  It is not too late to join the ladder if you are interested.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday Morning Adult Social Round Robins:  The first 3 courts are reserved for this from 9-11am.  These events are self-run; see guidelines here to manage the events.  Please bring your own balls.

Friday Night Social Round Robins:  They start this coming Friday night (May 10) & run on 5 courts from 7-10pm.  Balls are provided & this event is run by the Attendant on Duty.

Wilson Demo @ BVTC, Friday May 10 at 730pm:  Wilson will be onsite to offer free trials of new rackets, give advice, talk about new trends in equipment.

Free Adult Clinic, Saturday May 11, 6-7pm:  This clinic will be led by Robin Choi, Assistant Pro. Bring your racket, a bottle of water & your energy!

House League Try-outs, Tuesday May 14, 7pm:  If you played on the House League last year, no need to come to try-outs.  If you are new, we will email you to attend if you signed up via your membership application form.  If you did not sign up and are interested in the House League, please reply to this email to let me know.  For more info about the House League, please see here.

Inter-County Schedule & Court Schedule:   Use these to determine the “busy-ness” of the courts.  For inter-county for example, the games are not always played at BVTC.  On those nights, you can use the courts for open play.
